  • Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnologies – ever since it was founded, the faculty has been in continuous development, new specializations and laboratories appearing, until it reached the current form. After graduating from undergraduate courses (with specializations such as bioengineering, nanosciences, polymer science and engineering, etc.), budding engineers are added master courses (with the following specializations: nanomaterials, depollution, environmental engineering, chemical process engineering, etc.) and postgraduate courses.

The faculty is divided into several departments with different specializations such as: Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry, Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry and Environmental Engineering, Biosources and Polymer Science, General Chemistry and Oxide Materials Science and Engineering and Nanomaterials.

Faculty of Biotechnical Systems Engineering – this faculty is focused on training professionals in areas such as environmental protection, ecology, mechanical engineering, machine building, food industry and many other specializations in which you will receive training within this institution. Within this faculty you will find two departments called “Mechanics” and “Biotechnical Systems”. These disciplines consist of courses that prepare students with notions and learning methods of problem-solving and statistics and technical systems dealing with biological materials.

The duration of the bachelor’s studies is 4 years and has the following specializations: Machines and Installations for Agriculture and Food Industry, Applied Informatics in Environmental Engineering, Food Engineering, Mechatronics of Biotechnical Systems.   • Faculty of Aerospace Engineering – the history of Romanians in the development of air navigation and the importance of this field in the development of transport is well known. This branch of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest has been official since 1971 and hosts around 200 students annually for admission.

For the bachelor’s study program you will have the specializations: Aerospace Constructions, Propulsive Systems, Aviation Equipment and Installations, Aeronautical Engineering and Management, Air Navigation, Aeronautical Design. This faculty consists of two departments called “Bioengineering and Biotechnology” and “Physical Education and Sports – Kinesiotherapy”. The range of specializations of the bachelor’s program is a short one, consisting of “Biomaterials and Medical Devices” and “Medical Equipment and Systems”, and at the master’s program you will find the specialization areas: Medical Engineering, Biocompatible Substances, Materials and Systems, Applied Bioengineering for Regenerative Medicine and Modern Technologies for Medical Engineering.

Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics – consists of four departments providing training in different branches of mechanics: Mechatronics and Precision Mechanics; Thermotechnics, engines, thermal and refrigeration equipment; Machine parts and tribology and Industrial process equipment.

The courses are taught in English, French and German, lasting 4 years and with the study programs of bachelor (diploma being internationally recognized), master and doctorate.
